Pump up the Nails

I just want to make sure everyone’s clear on this… I suck so bad at my nails relatively to all the awesomeness that is available on the internet! I wanted to start this so I could post pictures of the nail art I do attempt, both the good and bad and the downright awful. But dudes, we all have to start somewhere and I’m more than positive that I will get better. 

Another note, I am cheap. And hey, I’m in college so it’s not really frowned upon most of the time. I refuse to pay more than two dollars for some polish. My camera can hardly take high definition photos. And above all I can’t pay someone else to do my nails when I could just do my own. But I don’t feel like any of this impedes my ability to paint.

I love to do my nails; something about the way the polish smells and how easily I can forget about anything that was previously stressing me out. I love how excellent it feels when someone comments on how cute they are, or even better when they ask where I got them done. It makes me think I am good enough to look pro! And even if the results aren’t as good as the few times I have gone to a salon, I don’t want to give up the act of doing them myself anyway.

So basically if you’re looking for another amateur with less, much less, than perfect nails I am your gal. But if you want to gawk at what only years of training could achieve you will be disappointed.
